Screenweaver updated to 3.0.6.4

They updated Screenweaver on Friday. For more info, check the Screenweaver Changelog.

One interesting addition:

swFile.createProjector, for creating Macromedia Stand-alone projectors from a given .swf file. Maybe someone wants to use Screenweaver's SWF-to-EXE tools to build their own SWF-to-EXE tools...

...they also added programming support for downloading files.

Hi,
I have been searching for a comparison between Screenweaver Vs Flash Studio Pro. Is there a web place where their is a suitable comparison. These sites have their own comparison charts, but I would like to have one from somebody who has actually used both these programs.

Amit: I did find a review of Flash Studio Pro at http://www.studiowhiz.com/reviews/6/ . One thing that caught my eye was the statement, "The way Flash Studio Pro works is via the FSCommand in Flash. You pass information back and forth from your Flash file to the Projector using FSCommands."

I have never used Flash Studio Pro, but I do know that this is fundamentally different from the way Screenweaver handles things. Screenweaver actually installs commands into the Flash IDE, so you can call them as you would any other native Flash script. This seems much more intuitive to me, since you don't have to funnel every operation through the FSCommand pipeline.

I have done a lot of work over the past few months with Screenweaver, and I can say that it's a very solid, easy-to-use toolkit. I would highly recommend it.
