Treo 650! Now all I need is a Flash player :(

I got a new phone yesterday...a Treo 650. I had pretty much worn out my Treo 300, having superglued it back together at least twice, and had been dealing without my now broken car charger.

So my wife got me the new gizmo this weekend for my birthday. I looked for a phone that would run FlashLite, but being a Sprint customer in the US, there wasn't anything offered that I could find to suit the task.

I'm still a bit bitter at Macromedia for not making a downloadable Flash player for Palm handhelds. The 650 seems to be a speedy little bugger, so the "Palm devices aren't fast enough to run Flash" argument doesn't hold up anymore.

These things are selling really well (another guy in the store bought one at the exact time I bought mine), so I would think the demand is there. Every Treo community site has users begging for a Flash player. I know that other Flash developers have this phone, too (Ben Forta, Christian Cantrell).

Right now Macromedia seems to be highly interested in Flash on mobile devices...unless your mobile happens to be made by Palm. :(
